[Bug 417084] [NEW] touchpad does not work after upgrade
You have been subscribed to a public bug:
After the upgrade from 7.10, where my synaptics touchpad was
automatically recognized, to 8.04 (online) my touchpad stopped working.
When clicking on GSynaptics I get that I should set "SHMConfig" to
"true" in xorg.conf, which I have done, but that does not help.
"synclient -l" gives the the answer that I don't have access to shared
memory and asks whether SHMConfig is disabled. I have added the *.fdi
file according to
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/SynapticsTouchpad#shmconfig, but
nothing seems to help.
