I confirm this issue. After applying recent updates I've got black screen after reboot. Monitor LED blinked several times and then just a black screen, I even can not access console using Ctrl+Alt+Fx. The only way to make my system usable is to manually change video driver to vesa or nv in xorg.conf
This issue also repeats on my friend's PC.
