[Bug 423415] Re: Ati driver issues when logging into desktop
I don't think it helps much, but I started the live system on a computer
with an RV630 (which has this problem), and if I do compiz --replace I
just get:

xset q doesn't reveal the location of the log file. Using fallback /var/log/Xorg.0.log

running under gnome seesion, checking for gnomecompat
/usr/bin/compiz: 446: gconftool: not found
adding missing gnomecompat
/usr/bin/compiz: 446: gconftool: not found
can not add gnomecompat, reseting
/usr/bin/compiz: 446: gconftool: not found
Checking for Xgl: not present.
Starting gtk-window-decorator
and then it crashes. Nothing in Xorg.0.log either :-(
