[Bug 433974] Re: [i965GM] corrupt texture in phoronix-test-suite qgears2
This is not a suspend/resume bug. It is exhibited immediately after
boot.
I added the i915.modeset=0 line to grub, but saw the following in the
dmesg log:
[ 0.000000] Command line: BOOT_IMAGE=/boot/vmlinuz-2.6.31-10-generic root=UUID=68a3128f-f61f-4994-9314-d717846b87f4 ro quiet splash i915.modeset=0
[ 0.000000] Kernel command line: BOOT_IMAGE=/boot/vmlinuz-2.6.31-10-generic root=UUID=68a3128f-f61f-4994-9314-d717846b87f4 ro quiet splash i915.modeset=0
[ 0.000000] Unknown boot option `i915.modeset=0': ignoring
[ 7.704159] [drm] Initialized i915 1.6.0 20080730 for 0000:00:02.0 on minor 0
same result running the benchmark.
After I failed to repeat the earlier suspend/resume bug, I started
looking for some way of exercising the graphics subsystem. I had seen
some graphical corruption running vegastrike and WoW under wine, but the
phoronix test was simple and repeatable. Unfortunately I have not run
the test on this hardware before, so I cannot confirm whether it is a
regression. I am willing to roll the driver either forward or back if
that would be helpful.
