I am sorry to inform you that this bug still affects the following video
card in Karmic:

01:00.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: VIA Technologies, Inc. VT8623
[Apollo CLE266] integrated CastleRock graphics [1106:3122] (rev 03)

I think that the following solution might work:

Section "Device"
        Identifier "Configured Video Device"
        Option "NoAccel" "true"
