Message #24462
[Bug 429419] Re: xorg.conf needs to be reconfigured at each reboot
I just want to mention that the very same driver (dowloaded from AMD
website) worked perferctly on Karmic Alpha 4 and despise the xorg.conf
bug i had in Alpha 5 everything was working fine after the login and the
problem was only during the boot. Bug now even with the restricted
drivers from the repositories i can't even reach the login screen
because my computer crashed. I guess i will not be using compiz for a
while lol. I hope the new version of the ATI Catalyst driver will be the
good one.
One more thing, in the make.log file it is mentioned something like
this "You must be logged in as root to run this script." but i was in
the terminal with the "root@" so it's not making any sens to me. How can
i get this while i'm logged as root.
Sorry to double post but i think it might be important to mention it.
Tx for your time.
