[Bug 434894] Re: radeon driver fails to load - no Xorg (powerpc)
** Description changed:
Binary package hint: libdrm-radeon1
In karmic, Xorg fails to come up and dumps me into a terminal because:
dlopen: libdrm_radeon.so.1: cannot open shared object file: no such file or directory
(EE) Failed to load /usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers//radeon_drv.so
(Xorg can be loaded with the framebuffer driver, but it is ugly and
weird.)
It turns out that the package libdrm-radeon1 was not installed
automatically although it should have been. Installing it solved the
problem. It seems that either a dependency on libdrm-radeon1 is missing
somewhere, or an automatic detection of the need for it is missing.
