Could this bug be related to what I'm experiencing on my old-ish R200 ?
Whenever I run KDE 4.3 with desktop effects enabled, opening any menu or
window results in a freeze- the mouse can still be moved but the menus
don't respond to clicks and the keyboard is completely unresponsive,
requiring a hard reboot. I'm also getting some trash on the screen for a
second, every time I log into KDE. Don't know if that's related.

Everything works fine without Kwin effects and compositing works fine in
GNOME.
