Message #26800
[Bug 432401] Re: Intel/KMS: Missing 1024 x 768 mode (regression from Jaunty)
** Description changed:
Binary package hint: xorg
On a Dell Latitude X1 with on its internal display with a native
resolution of 1280 x 768, the second most important mode of 1024 x 768
is not detected:
$ xrandr
Screen 0: minimum 320 x 200, current 1280 x 768, maximum 4096 x 4096
VGA1 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)
LVDS1 connected 1280x768+0+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 264mm x 159mm
1280x768 59.9*+
800x600 60.3
640x480 59.9
0x0 0.0
TV1 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)
I consider this a bug, because 1024 x 768 is certainly supported by this
notebook (even the BIOS uses this mode). It was supported with Jaunty,
but stopped working somewhere when the switch over to KMS was made.
