Re: [Bug 449061] Re: [K8M800] Console screens unusable on Averatec 3280 laptop
Just a few minutes ago, I tried switching to a console on this
Averatec 3280 laptop, and the text screen was normal - no flashing
colors. And the version of the driver is still
$ dpkg -s xserver-xorg-video-openchrome
....
Version: 1:0.2.903+svn758-0ubuntu1
So, as I was beginning to suspect regarding my similar bug report for
a desktop system, the cause must have been a change in some other
package, which was updated with the past 12 hours or so.
One thing that led me to suspect this was the fact that the behavior
was different among the Alpha-4, Alpha-6, Beta, and current updated
systems, when I tried them earlier.
See also #448911.
I'm quite pleased with this, but it is a mystery so far.
I'll update this if any regression occurs! :)
