[Bug 455300] Re: Monitor Resolution Detection - Regression!

I have autodetection back by rolling back.

I modified my /etc/apt/preferences file to specify the priorities for
Mint and Ubuntu repositories as greater than 1000...

Package: *
Pin: release o=linuxmint
Pin-Priority: 1700

Package: *
Pin: origin packages.linuxmint.com
Pin-Priority: 1700

Package: *
Pin: release o=Ubuntu
Pin-Priority: 1500

Package: *
Pin: origin ppa.launchpad.net
Pin-Priority: 50

Then executed...

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade

...(which is actually a downgrade to older more stable packages).

And finally returning my apt preferences to something more normal...

Package: *
Pin: release o=linuxmint
Pin-Priority: 700

Package: *
Pin: origin packages.linuxmint.com
Pin-Priority: 700

Package: *
Pin: release o=Ubuntu
Pin-Priority: 500

Package: *
Pin: origin ppa.launchpad.net
Pin-Priority: 50

Meanwhile I saw a new update of the intel drivers 1 minute ago by Tormod
Volden. Aaargh! Maybe I'll repeat the process just to see. My name's
Cefn and I'm an X crack addict!
