[Bug 453342] [NEW] Impress SlideShow sized incorrectly on laptop screen

Binary package hint: openoffice.org

I have a laptop with OpenOffice 3 installed. In any Impress document, if
I go into Slideshow view, the presentation always appears shifted to the
right, with a black bar at the left. The slide is displayed too big for
the display area. The text on the right and bottom are cut off.

The display is set to dual screen when the laptop is docked. When
docked, the slide show appears correctly on either monitor. I've used
Slide Show - Slide Show Settings to set it to Monitor 1 (primary,
external) or Monitor 2 (laptop). It's only when the laptop is undocked
that Impress has trouble correctly displaying the slide show. I have the
same problem if the laptop is connected to a projector.

This behavior was described in Bug #181819, which was for a related
issue and has been marked fixed.
