Re: [Bug 455954] Re: [K8M800] AntSpotlight screensaver causes system to lock up immediately

I disabled the Option "NoAccel" after finding that scrolling web pages
became very annoying, and so on. Now I have un xorg.conf

Section "Device"
        Identifier "Configured Video Device"
        Driver "openchrome"
# Option "EnableAGPDMA" "Off"
# Option "NoAccel" "true"
        Option "PanelSize" "1024x768"
EndSection

Also I removed the gl screensaver packages, so that I now have just

gnome-screensaver, screensaver-default-images, xscreensaver-data, and
xscreensaver-data-extra.

If I select 'Sonar', it crashes, the bug popup that occurs eventually
announces that there is an assertion failure in the code, that it
can't report that kind of error, and it closes. It looks like all the
other screensavers in that set are Ok.

Given that fact that I don't have any time, and the RC is just
tomorrow anyway, I won't be able to investigate this any more right
now.

I just saw the "PanelSize" option - I'll have to try that without some
of the other size options - that might be just the right thing to do
for this panel display.

It's completely normal that you lose data on "Windows" platforms.
That's why you have a UNIX server for backups.
