I believe I am seeing the same bug.
Booting from the live cd I see normal boot into gnome but after about 30s (haven't timed it yet) keyboard,mouse etc. are locked up. This happens consistently every time.
I can shift to another display (ctrl+alt+F1) before the freeze which should mean one could troubleshoot from this display. However, I don't know much about how to do that.
