[Bug 457821] Re: Acer AspireOne xorg defaults to 58x135 dpi instead of 96x96 so video playback aspect ratio (avi, etc) is incorrect

** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: xorg

Acer Aspire One AOA150, Intel GMA 950 graphics

Resolution should default to 96x96 but as can be seen, it does not.

  solidus@Liberty01:~$ xdpyinfo|grep inch
    resolution: 58x135 dots per inch

16:9 video files (avis, etc) are displayed roughly as square, compressed
horizontally. Changing the video player's aspect ratio does not correct
this. 4:3 video files are displayed narrower than square.

As a workaround, "xrandr --dpi 96" forces 96x96 DPI until shutdown, and
videos will have the correct aspect ratio. Adding this to startup
applications causes a system that can't log into the desktop.
