Just installed 9.10 64-bit from scratch and the same is happening with
the "nvidia-graphics-drivers-185" driver.

ie:

1. Mount a filesystem by going places > somefilesystem
2. Filesystem icon appears on secondary screen (left in my case)
3. File browser window automatically opened on secondary screen (left in my case)
