[Bug 463529] Re: Xorg error: Failed to load module "i810" (it works, though)
I have the same problem. I also don't have a /etc/X11/xorg.conf file.
My graphics system is basically unusable. X crashes every few minutes
and gdm gets stuck in a restart loop. I can sometimes get out of the
restart loop by switching to another console while gdm is starting and
switching back. Also, I have no text consoles - they are all blank and
do not offer me a login. Also, X crashes 90% of the time when I change
desktop backgrounds.
0000:00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corp.
82845G/GL[Brookdale-G]/GE Chipset Integrated Graphics Device (rev 03)
I can't use a PCI graphics card either. The boot process won't mount my
root device when there is a graphics card in use.
