[Bug 441272] Re: [i855] When trying to resume from suspend mode, the backlight does not turn on. I can see that the desktop is alive looking closer. Only rebooting brings back my backligt. It's a Sony Vaio VGN-B1XP machine with Intel Corporation 82852/855GM Integrated Graphics Device (rev 02).
I have the same problem on my ThinkPad X40 (same chipset as reported in
this bug), it's reproducible by either a suspend/resume cycle or by
leaving the laptop idle long enough to where the backlight is turned
off. I can confirm that this is a regression introduced by 9.10, this
was working correctly in 9.04.
