Yes, this does look like a crash bug with the intel driver.  This looks
like one that was solved subsequent to 8.10, and I think once you
upgrade to Karmic it should work fine.  If it doesn't, please reopen
this bug report, and please collect a full backtrace - see
http://wiki.ubuntu.com/X/Backtracing for directions.
