Message #32823
[Bug 475381] [NEW] Cannot enable desktop effects and multiple monitors at the same time
You have been subscribed to a public bug:
Binary package hint: gnome-control-center
I am unable to turn on both multiple-monitors and desktop effects at the
same time. I can either have desktop effects turned on while having my
two monitors mirrored, or I can have an extended desktop across the two
monitors but be unable to turn on desktop effects. If I turn on desktop
effects and then change my monitor configuration from mirrored to side-
by-side, the display is messed up until I restore my previous settings.
Graphics card (from lspci): VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc R430 [Radeon X800 XL] (PCIe)
Driver: radeon
Monitors: Both Samsung 19" SyncMaster 931B, optimal resolution 1280x1024
This is reproducible.
