[Bug 474787] Re: X.Org X server --Nvidia (Nouveau) "ppa:xorg-edgers/nouveau" test report [Followup Bug #462973]
Without kms settings activated:
Resolution Status
1680x1050 59.9*+ ok
1600x1024 60.2 broken
1400x1050 60.0 broken
1280x1024 75.0 60.0 broken
1440x900 59.9 reset to login
1280x960 60.0 ok
1360x768 59.8 broken
1152x864 75.0 75.0 70.0 60.0 broken
1024x768 75.0 70.1 60.0 ok
832x624 74.6 broken
800x600 72.2 75.0 60.3 56.2 ok
640x480 75.0 72.8 75.0 66.7 59.9 ok
720x400 70.1 ok, but sometimes after returning to previous
resoltion 1680 x 1050 desktop is shown in wrong
colors (e.g. turquoise is stead of orange) and
reduced color depth (likely 265 colors)
ok: Resolution seems to work
broken: the screen is incompletely drawn, the PC has to reset physically
reset to login: Instead of showing changed resolution, the PC goes back to ubuntu login screen
