There seems to be nothing of a sensitive nature in the logs you posted,
however since it is a concern for you I have marked the bug private.

It appears to be trying to load the mach64 driver, which seems unusual
to me for ati hardware.  Was that something you intended to happen, or
could that be part of the problem?  Would you mind providing your
/etc/X11/xorg.conf in case there is something in it that is causing
this?

Also, did you previously have a proprietary driver installed?  The
symptoms you described are reminiscent of bug #438398 however that only
impacts proprietary driver users, but it could lead to a situation such
as what it sounds like you're in.
