Same here Karmic is unusable at least with a X-Server. It freezes after
~ 10 sec or after the first mouse click. Mouse is often still moveable.

Kernel 2.6.31-14-generic #48-Ubuntu

tried installing other karmic kernel versions, X-server ... no success.
