I see. Just for the records, my issue was fixed by:

cat <<EOF >> /var/cache/debconf/config.dat
Name: xserver-xorg/config/device/bus_id
Template: xserver-xorg/config/device/bus_id
Value:
Owners: xserver-xorg

EOF
