[Bug 482396] [NEW] Intermittently after initial start up of Ubuntu 9.10 I have no window decorations on any windows.

You have been subscribed to a public bug:

Dell M1330, newly installed Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic. (Originally had 9.04 and this problem was not happening with that version).
Graphics Card = GeForce 8400M GS, Driver = Nvidia ver.185 - I regularly update my OS and allow all updates to install -
Fault: All windows are missing the decorations around the perimeter. The most noticeable item missing is the bar across the top of the window that has the 'Close' and 'Minimize' buttons. The windows can be minimized and closed using the taskbar and in every other respect the act normally. Windows appear and act as usual just missing the perimeter.
I have tried re-installing the driver, defaulting compiz, disabling effects and re-enabling again and doing the same with Metacity. None of things fix the problem. In order to have a normal desktop again I must reboot the laptop. The problem is always gone after a reboot. It happens roughly once every ten boot ups.
I am using the 'New Wave' theme customized with the 'Redmond' control scheme..

I used the 'Report a bug' link in 'System' > 'Help and Support' > 'Help'
as mentioned the 'Report a bug' tutorial on the Ubuntu community
documentation. I think that's why 'Yelp' is the source package!
