sometimes my mouse moves (in straight lines) over the screen. It seems to accelerate and slows down at a specific point of the screen. It usually happens, when maximizing a window or when a message appears on the screen. 

The mousemovement in the video from the bottom left corner to the upper
right just happend after selecting the terminal to restore.

karmic koala 9.10, 2.6.31-15-generic
lenovo thinkpad x200 
logitech s510 keyboard/mouse, usb, wireless
