Yes, I do still have the problem. I did overcome the problem bye
changing :

/boot/vmlinuz-2.6.31-15-generic root=UUID=cecaf5e9-474e-4963-bcf3-90b36aa566c9 ro quiet splash
to: 
/boot/vmlinuz-2.6.31-15-generic root=UUID=cecaf5e9-474e-4963-bcf3-90b36aa566c9 ro 

In menu.conf. If I boot with  the first version options. I got out sync
message. Strangely the DRM  broblem disappeared.


I did run the ubuntu-bug but it stucked and did not do anything at all
