Message #38245
[Bug 362359] Re: Focus gets stuck to a window - impossible to select other windows
I can't tell if this is the same issue, but recently I've been coming out of suspend sometimes and finding almost nothing responds to clicks (karmic x64, up-to-date). When it happens, I can still click in some places, but the panel doesn't do anything, alt-tab doesn't work, the cursor doesn't change properly (e.g. above text), and if I go back into suspend it:
- waits and goes blank instead of fading
- comes straight back up to a desktop instead of a login screen on resume
Switching workspaces seems to make some of it a little better, but
doesn't make the problems disappear completely. Only rebooting seems to
bring everything back to normal.
I recently upgraded X (xserver-common_2:1.6.4-2ubuntu4 and xserver-xorg-
core_2:1.6.4-2ubuntu4), and I can't be sure, but it seems like the
problem happens a lot when I leave firefox open during suspend
(3.6~b5~hg20091204r33317+nobinonly-0ubuntu1~umd1~karmic). Can't pinpoint
any nasty log messages. Any suggestions?
