[Bug 497179] [NEW] screen freezes after working for awhile but cursor still moves around

Binary package hint: ubuntu-docs
Hi, hope someone can help out. I have Ubuntu 9.10 upgraded from 9.04 and
running dual boot parallel with XP Windows (which is not experiencing
the same problem, so not a hardware fault). I start up and work for
awhile and eventually the screen stops responding to the cursor, so I
have to switch off power and reboot to continue. Does anyone have any
ideas on how I can fix this problem?
** Affects: xorg-server (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
