[Bug 499102] Re: kernel 2-6-32-9 xorg black screen intel video

 

Jerry, I think you may have two different bugs in your logs. Some of
them show a backtrace at the end of Xorg.0.log which means that Xorg
crashed. Some do not have this and you report that the mouse cursor can
be moved but everything else is frozen along with messages in dmesg
about the GPU being wedged [1]. For crashes we need a full backtrace,
and how to get one is described at [2]. I suggest we focus on the crash
and not the GPU hang/freeze here. There is some general information
about freeze bugs and especially how to get a batchbuffer dump at [3].
