Message #39884
[Bug 501296] [NEW] Computer booted into no X display with an acpi error
You have been subscribed to a public bug:
1) The release of Ubuntu you are using, via 'lsb_release -rd' or System
-> About Ubuntu.
I am using Karmic Koola 9.10
2) The version of the package you are using, via 'apt-cache policy
packagename' or by checking in Synaptic.
This is an immediate crash when the Xserver was attempted to be started. I asked the boot safe crash dialog (one that asks if I would like to start x in safe mode) to package a tar of all the related files see attachments.
3) What you expected to happen
To boot my computer into the kde desktop.
4) What happened instead
My computer booted into a 4 choice questionnaire. Asking if I
like to start in safe low graphics mode, view the error output, go
back into the terminal or save crash report log data which I selected
for.
The computer resumed back to boot the graphic desktop after I
exited the questionnaire.
