[Bug 502669] [NEW] NV11DDR [GeForce2 MX200] starts in low-graphic mode, service gdm restart fixes temporarily.

Although nvidia-glx-96 is recommended, I naively thought a higher number
would allow my card (NV11DDR [GeForce2 MX200]) to use affects (Compiz)
w/o lagging. I installed nvidia-glx173, and on restart the PC started
in low-graphics mode (choices being to configure, etc). I didn't know
how to configure, so after blindly trying the other options ran in
Ubuntu and started this <a
href="http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1369217";>thread<a>.

*xorg.conf &/var/log/Xorg.0.log doesn't appear to change compared to
starting in low-graphics mode or at log in restarting gdm (ctrl+alt+f1,
login, sudo service gdm restart).

Ubuntu 9.10

I expected my computer to start in normal graphics mode after doing the
steps to change the driver back, restarting x, and restarting gdm.
Unfortunately, every time we restart the computer (hard restart, through
panel, etc.) the computer starts in low-graphics mode. To get normal
graphics, I have to restart gdm.
