Message #40848
[Bug 494680] Re: [i945GM] X server segfault on lid close
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 494627 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/494627
I noticed bug #494627's backtrace looked just similar enough to make me
suspicious, so I've upgraded to xorg-server 2:1.7.3.902-1ubuntu1 and re-
tested. X appears to not be crashing for me now. I've tested by
plugging in the VGA cable and hitting 'mode switch', which was a sure-
fire crasher previously.
Now, I happen to not be using the same VGA device as before because I'm
not at home, but I think that's close enough to assume for the moment
that this is fixed. Marking as a duplicate. I'll re-test when I'm at
home and reopen if necessary.
** Package changed: xserver-xorg-video-intel (Ubuntu) => xorg-server
(Ubuntu)
** Changed in: xorg-server (Ubuntu)
Status: Incomplete => Fix Released
** This bug has been marked a duplicate of bug 494627
nv driver crashing with segmentation fault in libpthread.so.0
