Installing Jaunty 9.04 using an S3Virge video card with Dell 1707FPt monitor on dual-boot system w/Windows 2K on other partition.
Under Windows, monitor works at 1024x768 in 16 bit color mode, and 1280x1024 in 256 mode.
Under Ubuntu, same hardware gives 800x600 4:3 at best.
