[Bug 327805] [NEW] Keyboard layout switching hotkey becomes disabled after monitor power-save

You have been subscribed to a public bug:

I have "Both Shift keys together change layout" checked in System >
Preferences > Keyboard > Layouts > Other Options > Layout switching, but
it seems that every time the monitor goes into power-save mode, this
shortcut no longer works (but simply visiting those Preferences again
restores everything to normal).

(This may or may not be related to a slightly less annoying problem,
which is that while the monitor is in power-save mode, it seems to take
a few seconds after the first keystroke for my monitor to wake up and my
system to actually register the keystrokes. E.g., hitting Num Lock
won't actually toggle the indicator light for about 5 seconds.)

I'm using Ubuntu 8.10 64-bit on a Dell XPS 410 desktop.

** Affects: xorg (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Incomplete
