Dear Bryan,

I tend to disagree with your conclusion. It definitely is Xorg-server
crashing by itself, not by any bad circumstances, causing the plasma-desktop
to exit too. The .xsession-errors file just shows the effect of this crash
on the apps running. It shows the misery that results from the Xserver
crash, not the "bad-state"  you suggest exists prior to it.. The Xserver
crashes and restarts, resulting in user sessions to be killed too.

By moving this crash to the nvidia arena, will put it in the long grass.The
bug trace shows that the Xserver is reading/writing to a NULL value from VMA
where it expects something valid.

But since I am no developer, I will have to accept your conclusion. If there
is anything I can do to improve/ enhance the backtrace, please let me know.

As a workaround, I will buy a recent video card, and switch to more recent
version of the nvidia driver.
