[Bug 478052] Re: X server crash during Audacity edit

** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel

I am another user running the Intel 965GM chipset, experiencing random X
  crashes.

This is the most predictable way I can get it to crash: edit audio in
Audacity, and resize, drag, or do something which makes a large screen
  update.

Attached is the gdb backtrace; there was nothing at all in the Xorg log
after the crash, even with driver debugging on, except for the normal
stuff which occurs on a restart. If you want that, I will make it happen
  again, and then post it.

This is for Ubuntu 8.10, Intrepid Ibex, driver version
2.4.1-1ubuntu10.4. I have tried various levels, but have had random
crashes since version 2.2.0 of the driver (in Hardy)
