[Bug 519641] Re: gdm/x fails to start with error "Broken Pipe" at boot in Xubuntu

 

After more talking in #ubuntu+1 it was recommended that I remove
Plymouth and see what happens... So I removed plymouth and sure enough,
the system now correctly boots. I'm not sure what the significance is
and if it is Plymouth's interaction with gdm, Xorg or the intel drivers
that is causing this to happen, but it does appear that it is plymouth
causing this issue and not the drivers in and of themselves. I don't
know how you guys what to handle this bug, but for me, it seems pretty
clear what the cause is and also what the solution is.
