same problem in karmic connecting to a OpenSolaris machine via xmcp:

alex@eris:~$ Xnest :2 -query 192.168.1.200

X Error of failed request: BadDrawable (invalid Pixmap or Window parameter)
Major opcode of failed request: 70 (X_PolyFillRectangle)
Resource id in failed request: 0x0
Serial number of failed request: 14783

The error happens after I log in and seems like just as gnome-notification-daemon starts.

This was on karmic with latest xnest package.
