[Bug 412883] [NEW] Installing a second monitor, display not mirrored, logout to set virtual desktop. Desktop blank after logout although still accessible.

Installed 19" Samsung on IBM laptop (R50e). Tried to set it up as a non-
mirrored display with res 1440 x 900. Blank screen on logout. Edited the
/etc/X11/xorg.conf file and changed the virual res. - Screen no longer
blank on reboot but resolution not correct.
