Message #47222
[Bug 526170] Re: no display on lucid startup
** Description changed:
Binary package hint: xorg
When starting up Lucid from a livecd the menu appears and after choosing
to either install or run, my monitor goes into sleep mode and there is
no display from that point on. I have an Nvidia GeForce 250 GTS 1GB and
a 21" Sony Multiscan 500PS (CRT). Using Daily livecd as of Monday Feb.
22nd, 2010.
+
+ EDIT: I enable "nomodeset" at the menu and I now get the White and Blue
+ loading bars. They load fully and I never get to a desktop session. If I
+ go to CTRL + CTRL + F1, "stdin error 0" is displayed.
