Paganini: I understand you are a little frustrated, but we get a lot of
bugs that we need to handle, but most of them are fixed upstream and
then brought to Ubuntu in a newer release. Here I ask you to test the
apha release because if the problem has been fixed, we can back-port
that to karmic and that will fix this bug, if not then we need to work
on it. Since Lucid is almost ready to come out (in April), there were
thousands of bugs fixed in the upstream that are coming out in next
release, therefore it doesn't make much sense to fix a bug that has
already been fixed :)

You just have to download the live-cd, put it in your system and see if
the problem still exists. I'll also check upstream and see what I find
about this bug. Until then this bug is incomplete because of lack of
information regarding its status in lucid.
