[Bug 446717] Re: [gm45] Acer 1410t Brightness Adjust with Compiz system freeze
I just confirmed this workaround does function on the ubuntu lucid alpha
3 live. I created a bootable sd card with unetbootin and the alpha3
iso, then edited the file syslinux.cfg on the sdcard and changed the
similar default line to the following:
append initrd=/ubninit file=/cdrom/preseed/ubuntu.seed boot=casper
i8042.nomux nomodeset acpi_backlight=vendor quiet splash --
brightness adjust now works fine, and doesn't freeze the machine.
