Hello,
The resolution 1600 x 900 of my LG w2043s screen is not recognized by Karmic however it is by Hardy , that stands on the same pc in multi-boot.
Here is return of xrandr on Karmic

default connected 1280x1024+0+0 0mm x 0mm
   1280x1024 0.0*
   1024x768 0.0
   800x600 0.0
   640x480 0.0
and here is the one on Hardy
  isy@isy-machineke:~$ xrandr
Screen 0: minimum 320 x 200, current 1600 x 900, maximum 1600 x 1600
VGA connected 1600x900+0+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 443mm x 249mm
   1600x900 60.0*+ 59.9 60.0*
   1280x1024 59.9
   1280x960 59.9
   1152x864 75.0 74.8
   1024x768 75.1 60.0
   832x624 74.6
   800x600 75.0 60.3 56.2
   640x480 75.0 60.0

It should be nice to be able to use karmic with the 1600 x 900 resolution , while using my LG w2043s screen.
Bye bye
