[Bug 535010] Re: [gm45] GPU lockup during MI_WAIT_FOR_EVENT Display Pipe B Scan Line Window Wait Enable (0x01800020)
Thank you for reporting this bug. There has been a major update of the kernel code responsible from the graphics execution, so could you do one of the following:
1. (easy for you, hopefully good enough for upstream)
Update to kernel 2.6.32-16 (and any other updates to get an updated Lucid). File a new bug report the same way as you did with this if it is still present.
2. (a little harder, better for troubleshooting)
Install and boot the newest mainline kernel drm-intel-next from [1] (see [2] for instructions). Reproduce the problem. ssh into the computer and copy the file /sys/kernel/debug/dri/0/i915_error_state. File a bug report the same way as you did with this if it is still present (I guess it pops up next time you boot). Attach the copied i915_error_state to the bug report (it may be different from the i915_error_state that is automatically uploaded).
