[Bug 534904] Re: Mouse: Clicks dont work after login
** Description changed:
- Ubuntu Karmic: 9.10 newest Kernel *.31
- After reboot and login i can just do one single mouseclick. everything still works fine, mouse movement is ok but its not possible do click or to use the scrollwheel. Only the lower windowpanel accepts clicks. Once in a while every 3-5 mintues a few clicks will be accepted. after login out and in again. everything works fine. the same occured with ubunut 9.04. after fresh install everything worked fine for about 4 weeks. now history repeats. last message in system log says: "tsc clocksource unstable -xxxxxxxxx ns" i dont use tsc. tried using kernel option: clocksource=hpet with same result.
+ Ubuntu Karmic: 9.10 newest Kernel *.31 (also tried older Kernel with same result)
+ After reboot and login i can just open one single window. everything still works fine, mouse movement is ok but its not possible to click or to use the scrollwheel outside the opened window. After logout and login again(using magic sysrequest) everything works fine. the same occured with ubunut 9.04. after fresh install everything worked fine for about 4 weeks. now history repeats. last message in system log says: "tsc clocksource unstable -xxxxxxxxx ns" i dont use tsc. tried using kernel option: clocksource=hpet with same result.
i found the following in the logs
bootmsg: "EDAC amd64: WARNING: ECC is NOT currently enabled by the BIOS"
kernellog: "Valid eCryptfs headers not found in file header region or xattr region"
both are open bugs.
maybe that helps.
