Found out that the system isn't completely dead. If I switch back and
forth through my vtys I managed to get my desktop :)

I did ctrl-alt-f1, ctrl-alt-f7 and others for a couple of times and then
I had a 100% good login screen.

I heard the Ubuntu drumroll three times :)
