[Bug 352689] [NEW] jaunty beta liveCD resume freezes X on HP 6720 laptop w Intel GM965/GL960
You have been subscribed to a public bug:
Most of the time, when trying to resume from suspend, jaunty beta liveCD freezes (presumably X) on a HP 6720 laptop w Intel GM965/GL960 video.
The screen is black. The mouse cursor flashes when moving and disappears when mouse stops.
ctrl-alt-fx go to healthy command lines from which the whole log folder was saved to a perfectly mounting USB key.
Once out of 5, suspend/resume worked perfectly, again and again until the machine was powered off.
Fairy Mystery never came back.
Edit: suspend/resume works perfectly on that computer when running 8.10.
I also have a similar case with an Asus Z9200 (ATI Radeon X700).
Suspend/resume works with Intrepid but not Jaunty beta.
Black screen, no mouse cursor, no command line, sorry no data.
Plus, computer isn't mine, just on an installation visit.
** Affects: xserver-xorg-video-intel (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: Incomplete
