Addendum:  When the screen is rotated back, it throws up a bunch of
garbage, and then goes black.  At this point, the only thing which works
is the mouse pointer, and the pen is still correctly calibrated.  It is
not until I switch to a console and back to reset the display that the
calibration goes nuts.
