[Bug 529410] Re: [915GM] X freezes after clicking on name to log into

The automatic bug reporting tools had some problems when this bug was
reported, which results in very few logs being collected. There has also
been some important updates that may have resolved or changed the
appearece of this bug. I think it is easier for both you and us if you
file a new bug report if the problem continues, so I'm closing this
report.

The apport-collect information gave us some background information about your system, but the current bug reporting script should be better, and I think it is easier to generate a new bug report than to fix this one. There are two (independent) things that can help getting an even better report:
1. Add the kernel parameter drm.debug=0x02 (hold shift while booting to show the boot menu, then 'e' to edit)
2. Use the lastest drm-intel-next or 2.6.34-rcX mainline kernel (see https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelTeam/MainlineBuilds)

** Summary changed:

- X freezes after clicking on name to log into
+ [915GM] X freezes after clicking on name to log into

** Changed in: xserver-xorg-video-intel (Ubuntu)
       Status: Incomplete => Invalid
